In this video, I build a website from start to finish, and I keep the “technical” part as simple as possible. I walk you through signing up for Bluehost, choosing a standard web hosting plan (I go with the cheapest option for the demo), and then picking your domain name. If you already own a domain, I show you where to click to bring it with you. If you’re starting fresh, Bluehost can register the domain for you, and you get it free for the first year (normally around $13), which is nice because everything is in one place. After checkout, I jump into the Bluehost dashboard and install WordPress in just a couple of clicks: Websites → Add Website → Install WordPress. I set a site title, select the domain, and Bluehost handles the installation for you. This is the only step that feels even slightly “technical,” but the whole point is that Bluehost makes it easy. Once WordPress is installed, I show you how to find your new site in the list and open the WordPress admin so you can start managing your website right away.
