In this video I walk you through the manual way to install WordPress via FTP, which is perfect when you want full control over what gets uploaded and where. I start at WordPress.org, grab the latest WordPress version, and extract the ZIP so you have the full WordPress folder ready to go. Then I connect to my server using an FTP client (I use FileZilla), navigate to the right location (usually something like public_html for your domain), and upload the WordPress files. While the upload runs, I jump into cPanel to set up the database side of things: create a new database, create a user, and then assign that user to the database with all privileges. Once the files are uploaded, I visit the domain in my browser and let the standard WordPress installer take over. At that point it’s just plugging in the database name, username, and password I created in cPanel, running the install, and finishing the basic site details. A quick login at the end confirms everything is working and you’re in the WordPress dashboard.
