About This Video

In this video, I show you how I turn a regular WordPress site into a curated job board using RSS feeds. The idea is simple: I find RSS sources that publish individual job listings, then I import those listings into my site and publish them as WordPress posts. That way, every job becomes a post I can manage, format, and display however I want—without manually copying and pasting anything. To do the heavy lifting, I use a plugin called Feedzy. After installing it, I create a new import (I name mine “featured jobs”), paste in multiple RSS feed URLs, and then add filters so I only pull the types of roles I care about. For example, I set conditions like “title contains writer,” “blogger,” or “content,” and switch the logic to “any condition is met” so matching listings get imported. From there, I choose the post status (I publish immediately), set the post title using tags like the item title plus the source, keep the post date as the item date, and map the content to the item content. Once I run the import, the job listings show up in Posts—ready to be styled and organized like any other WordPress content.
