In this video, I’m focusing on one thing that can quietly tank both rankings and UX: Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) on WordPress. I walk you through five quick, proven fixes that make the biggest difference without turning performance optimization into a full-time job. The goal is simple: get the main content on the page to render faster, especially on real-world devices and connections. First, I start with image optimization, because it’s usually the fastest win. I use Optimole since it handles most of the heavy lifting automatically once you install it, connect the service, and enable image handling—plus you can set it to optimize for speed. Next, I show how to improve LCP by excluding above-the-fold images from lazy loading (also doable inside Optimole). After that, I add caching with Super Page Cache—turn on disk page cache and you’re already in a much better place with the default settings. Then I cover CDNs: Optimole gives you an image CDN out of the box, and Super Page Cache can connect to Cloudflare for CDN/edge caching. Finally, I point out the uncomfortable truth: sometimes you just need a better host, because hosting performance differences can be massive.
