In this video, I’m straightening my hair with you in real time—even though it’s literally not the weather for it. We’re talking snow, we’re talking rain, and I’m still like… okay, let’s flat iron. I go in with the Fenty Hair heat protectant and set my flat iron to 410 (so yes, I’m trusting the protectant and praying). I walk you through the whole process start to finish, including how fast it’s gotten for me lately—which is kind of dangerous information because once straightening becomes “quick,” you start wanting to do it too often. While I’m doing my hair, I’m also chatting about real life stuff: my impulse spending habits, trying to stay on a low-buy, and that moment where you return something and find out it’s store credit only. I also talk about how I’ve been thinking about cutting my hair into a bob because I feel like it would eat… but I don’t love how my curls look when they’re that short, so it would basically mean being a straight natural until it grows out.
