Forth & Clyde and Union Canals - 106k - Scotland's Great Trails

17th December 2023....and another one of Scotland's Great Trails. The full canal network from Bowling (near Glasgow) on the west of Scotland across to Fountainbridge in Edinburgh on the east. The route is 106k (around 64 miles) and follows the tow paths of the Forth and Clyde Canal, switching to the Union Canal at Falkirk. Pretty much as flat as a pancake, this was a mental challenge as much as a physical one to keep my head strong and push on till the end.
