I pushed my body to the absolute limit at the Trailspire Ultra. Unlike a traditional race with a fixed finish line, this was a battle against the clock. The goal? Run as many laps as possible in exactly 6 hours. The terrain was brutal, the pace was relentless, and the mental battle was tough, enduring crippling cramp as the race went on. In this video: - My pacing strategy for a timed ultra event. - The mental "wall" you hit when running in loops. - Final distance reveal: Did I hit my target? Great to see so many people out on the course from Scott Brown (double West Highland Way record holder), Ian Garnett of Ink and Trails PLUS the legend that is Debbie Martin - Consani that has completed both Badwater 135 and Western States 100 miler. #trailrunning #ultramarathon #6hourrace #trailspireultra #runningscotland For this race I was using fuel from Highland Fuel - https://highlandnutrition.co.uk I wore Keen Seek shoes - https://www.keenfootwear.co.uk/collections/seek-trail-running-shoes See the full route on Strava - https://strava.app.link/pVll187rY0b Follow along on Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/the_random_runner?igsh=MXFjazBxdDAxNjg5Zg==
