Hello Quilt Nation! In this one I’m sharing the project I kicked off while I was on a quilt retreat with the guys—and let me tell you, I was completely out of my element. Retreat sewing hits different: you’re away from your normal setup, you’re making decisions on the fly, and you’re figuring it out one seam at a time. I started this build right there at the retreat, and this video is basically me bringing you along to show what I began and where it’s headed. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to start a quilt project in a new environment, this is it—real-world quilting, not the perfectly staged stuff. I talk through the mindset of just getting started, keeping the momentum going, and leaning on the community vibe that makes retreats so valuable.
