In this Magic Kingdom night vlog, we had one big goal: see the NEW Disney Starlight Parade and get James on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train now that he’s finally tall enough. We fueled up at Cosmic Ray’s (I’m not gonna lie… I wouldn’t necessarily recommend eating there, but it was fine), stacked up Lightning Lanes, and kicked things off with Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin. We also chatted about how the Disneyland version is different (and arguably better) because the blasters actually come off—here they’re fixed, so it’s a whole different vibe. Mine Train had been down basically all day, so when it finally reopened, we used our Individual Lightning Lane and jumped in. The standby was around 95–105 minutes, but watching James giggle the entire ride made it 1000% worth it—he immediately asked to go again. After Garrett grabbed a parade spot in Frontierland, I took James stroller-free (he was a rock star) to knock out more rides like Magic Carpets of Aladdin and Pirates, then we grabbed an orange cream float and posted up for Starlight. Our first reaction: the music was good, the floats were straight-up magical, and it honestly felt Disneyland-level. We stayed out super late, hit Dumbo, Goofy’s Barnstormer, PeopleMover during Happily Ever After, did a little Main Street shopping and Confectionary treats, and even caught Starlight a second time before rolling in close to midnight—hot, dehydrated, but so happy.
