Hey friends! In this video it’s just me, Melissa, because we leave for Walt Disney World in about 12 hours (wild), and I’m walking you through exactly how I pack for a full week trip in July—aka intense, intense Florida heat. Since we’re teachers and we travel on breaks, we do Disney in the summer a lot, so I’m sharing what’s actually worked for us to handle the heat, the rain, and the chaos (especially with a toddler). I also pre-plan our outfits by day because it makes mornings so much easier, and yes—if you think it looks like I overpacked, we do two outfits a day for park days because we rope drop, get sweaty and disgusting, go back to the room, and then head back out at night in fresh clothes. I cover all the essentials we bring to stay cool (cooling towels, fans, insulated water bottles, electrolytes), plus rain gear because it will rain every single day in summer—even if it’s only for 5 minutes. I also share our toddler + potty training setup, including the OXO travel potty, liners, and my little teacher hack with post-its for covering auto-flush sensors.
