Working from home as a teacher (especially during quarantine) is a huge adjustment, and in this video I walk you through the mindset shift that helped me the most: you basically become your own boss, so you have to build your own structure and keep yourself accountable. I share the working-from-home routines I’m trying to stick with, because “being home” can quickly turn into blurred boundaries, constant interruptions, and a day that feels busy but not productive. I focus on five practical productivity tips that start with creating your own schedule and then organizing it into simple daily routines. I also talk honestly about how teaching online from home was—and still is—a challenge for me, but I’m learning new tips and tricks every day. My goal is to give you a realistic framework you can use right away so your day has more structure, your work time is more focused, and you can actually log off without feeling like you’re always behind.
