In this video I’m taking you around our triplets’ new Montessori-inspired bedroom (it’s not really a nursery anymore!) now that it’s finally finished and before the boys move in and everything gets… well, lived in. We’ve gone for floor beds instead of cots, with as much accessibility as we can manage in a shared room for three. I also share a few practical bits I’m still tweaking, like adding foam tubing to the middle rails because they’re starting to roll and I just want to prevent any bumped heads. The whole room theme kind of evolved by accident. I started with a few Etsy prints I loved—more sunrise/sunset than rainbow—and then everything snowballed into this warm “sunset” palette with pops of navy. I show you the feature wall colour gradient, the cosy bedding, and lots of little details from small businesses (plus a couple of gifted pieces). You’ll also see our open wardrobe setup for triplets (storage really matters when there are three!), a simple changing area, and some Montessori-friendly toys and decor that fit the theme. And yes—there’s even an unintentional sunshine pattern from the rattan lampshade that turned out to be perfect.
