“[Music] hi guys welcome back to my channel and i know it's been a little while but i've had a little bit of a break if you haven't been following me over on instagram although i did post something on my community tab over here um as to why i've had a little bit of a break um go and check that out but i won't go into in this video because uh this video is my first video of january and of a new year and hopefully of a much calmer and better year for all of us um so today i thought i would give you a tour of our triplets nursery bedroom it's not really a nursery at all it's just their bedroom um because it is now complete and they are about to move in so before they get in and wreck the place no they won't do that they're not moving yet so we're okay for a while i thought i would give you a tour of uh of their bedroom of all the things that are in it we have gone very montessori inspired um so floor beds and accessibility for them as much as possible although volume of stuff we haven't been able to do all the things that we did for oscar's room i will link that um video above now and in the description box if you'd like to go see oscar's um bedroom tour his last bedroom his new bedroom is different actually but the same things are in it um because we had an accessible wardrobe and things like that for him which we don't have in this room but without further ado um let me give you a little preview of the before situation and how it's come to be their bedroom [Music] [Music] so okay so all of that work has led us to this point and i have to say it has taken a really long time when you have four children finding time to actually paint and organize and get things done uh is slim to none so it's taken us lots and lots of weekends my husband actually took a couple of days holiday to get this finished as well a lot of the work has been done by him as you would have seen in those clips he made the beds he made the shelves he made the wardrobe he made this feature wall so i am just very thankful for having such a talented husband that is able to do these things i'm like can you do this and he's like yeah i'm sure i can do that and it just turned out so amazing better than we even expected this theme is um has kind of evolved um and it originally came from i'll show you these pictures so i was looking for prints for their room and i really like got stuck on these ones with the like sunshine and more like the sunset vibe now i know like rainbows are everywhere but i didn't want to go like rainbow themed um but i wanted to kind of go like weather themed um so it ended up being like a sunset themed room and it's actually kind of just evolved into that i did do a pinterest board with all the things i was liking and then i was like this is developing into a real like sunset theme so i didn't go into it thinking they're gonna have a sunset themed bedroom it's just kind of evolved based on the pictures and then other things i started to like like and pin on my pinterest board and then this is the finished product so i will now take you around the room and show you all the different um pieces uh anything that i can remember where i got it from i got a lot of stuff from etsy there's a few gifted pieces as well and some things that we had already from the playroom or oscar's room that's kind of developed into this room i will um i'll try to put on the screen any businesses small businesses i've used loads of small businesses um for their products and i will try to link everything in the description box below if you want to go check it out so this side is really the inspiration i guess for the room so i found these prints on etsy from an irish seller um she's got loads of different designs and i just loved it like rainbow rooms are like all the rage right now um and i really loved that kind of theme but i didn't want rainbows so i really liked like sun sunrise and sunset um and my babies are my little sunshines so it kind of all goes together so we kind of created this um graded wall going from kind of a red into an orange you can actually see the sun coming through the window which is beautiful they get the sun in the morning so it goes red orange peach and then a really pale kind of cream at the top and these pictures were basically the inspiration for the whole room so it's got the orange sun and then also the pops of navy so like the curtains are navy down here we have their floor beds so this is what makes the room montessori inspired we have ditched the cots and we've gone straight for the floor beds my husband actually made these and at the moment they're okay in them but we just need to get some um foam tubing to go over the middles because they're now starting to roll a little bit and um i can see that they're going to knock their heads potentially now they haven't so far so they might just learn not to but i just want to get some tubing just in case just to put um we'll kind of glue it over these bits here um you know like kind of a pool noodle kind of vibe but in a nicer color um so yeah so the sheets are from john lewis it took me ages to find nice sheets um so there's these spotty ones and then like i said there's a navy set they come in a pair their little um comforters are from the white company and a little tip if you're buying your baby a comforter buy two so that you can wash them and that they don't know oscar had two of his he has a polar bear exactly the same and it took him to like two years old to realize that there was actually two um because we just kept swapping them out so they were all as used as each other but you could clean them and also then if you lose one you've always got one spare um yeah and then i said about the etsy pictures and then these cushions are all from etsy two different sellers the sunshine ones are one seller they're like crochet sunshines and then the pillows um the cloud pillows are from a different cellar they're like linen really beautiful and then their name signs are from benedict and sylvester she kind of gifted us those and they are beautifully engraved onto wood little planks so we know who is who then over here we have this wicker bookshelf um from next i don't know if i would recommend it it took forever to come and i'm not really impressed with the um the wood that's actually the shelf the wick around the outside is really nice but this is really cheap and um i'm not that impressed with this i'm not sure if i would recommend it but it does look really nice from a distance but if you look up close i'm not that impressed um and then the little things that are on top these are the reduga graze autumn trees and you get like a huge set of them so there's these ones these ones and then there's some more over there as well um so they're up here at the moment but we also play with them as well but they're kind of just fitting with a theme this is the redo gray's little sunshine um i can't remember who this is made by i'll link it um but i really loved it because it was like little triplets in a in a bus and just a little pot with some cotton on that my sister-in-law got us when uh we found out we were pregnant with the triplets so i've kind of kept hold of them they're looking a bit worse for wear but um they're a bit special and then i've just got this frame these are not my children i got this frame from home sense um but i want to replace the pictures but we still haven't got pictures printed of the babies but i want to just put a little picture of each of them in there um but i quite liked that then over here we've got kind of like a little um changing area so just got a faux sheep skin rug on the floor and this unit that we've always had um for the babies um i can't remember what cellar we got this one it was from an irish furniture company but we really love it it's um mango wood um so i really love like the the texture on it and the brass detailing uh the changing mat is from amazon um i can't think of the company that it's from but i'll link it we have two of those one upstairs one downstairs and then this is just like a little feature wall uh i actually made this myself but there's loads of sellers on etsy that make these um i had this piece of driftwood and my husband kept telling me what are you gonna do with that piece of driftwood and i was like i will find a project and this was the project i got the felt balls from amazon i mean i just threaded them on myself you can buy them they're actually quite expensive to buy like 20 to 30 pounds to buy a string of um felt balls so this was actually a cheaper alternative so i really like that and i had the balls in the right colors like the sunset colors so i was happy with that this is a mirror from amazon i think it's satin bell loved that that it went with a theme um this picture is from um type by alice she gifted us that it's really beautiful it says be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire and um i loved it she allowed me to pick which one i wanted from her range and i just loved the colors and the wording was just perfect so i was like this is going to go in the baby's bedroom this is before we even came up with a theme but i knew i loved those colors so and the frame is amazon as well the kind of brown oak and then this is a little um sign that i got commissioned from i think are they called fred and oak they make lovely little signs and kind of like um announcement birth announcement and things like that but they didn't have anything that said this or have sons but they had the kind of pendant shape sorry i just asked them if they would do one that said born together friends forever with little sunset um tan suns and they did it for me the night leather strap and yeah really really pleased with that they were really really accommodating so really impressed with their company and then coming from here to this wall here is very very bare and i'm just waiting for three frames and they haven't turned up but i wanted to uh film this anyway but i thought i'd show you so we were gifted um these by um off the wall design and she basically custom made these for us um so i asked her to do like a dandelion clock in the kind of colors and to have it say i should just lay them out for you and to have it saying three little wishes so our three little babies and i've got um some frames on order so these are a5 size they're just so so beautiful and they are gonna go one two three on that wall there then here this is actually like our chimney breast from downstairs so it kind of sticks out a little bit um so i just wanted to make a little feature of this the shelf is from softer and green and then eventually it will hang their towels or dressing gowns or whatever on it um but at the moment it just has this um the toy van kaleidoscope camera which is really cool oscar really enjoys playing with that and the babies will eventually um some more of the reducers trees we just did this feature painted um sun in the same orange that's on the feature wall and some dried flowers that i actually got for my birthday from my mum and dad but i just picked out these ones because they match the room and then this little stacking weather is um from the wandering workshop on etsy um i was previously gifted this all the way when we were living in dubai but it just works with the theme here with the sun and the navy blue um and then this is their open wardrobe my husband made all of this um we wanted extra storage so we've got two lines of um baskets and they come all the way along here the baskets are from amazon and they come in different colors but i just love the pop of navy up there with the tan handles and then these ones are just a different i didn't want like too many of them so i got a different basket for these and then i kind of found a pinterest page that i love this open rail um so we sourced all the sep bits all the bits separately and then made it ourselves we had this unit we've had it for a long time when we were first going out and living together um it was actually from london went to my parents house and then we got it shipped back to ireland and we used to have our tv on it but it doesn't fit downstairs so it works perfectly in this room with the kind of pop of the kind of bluey green um and the natural tones and we've just got this natural kind of jute-ish rug um so yeah so we've got this open shelf that has all their clothes on kind of smallest to biggest it looks like they've got a load of clothes but don't forget there's three of them and i do try to keep quite frugal in my purchases so this is all the kind of dungarees and tops and then i store their trousers and vests and stuff in that unit there and then here is like muslins and blankets and things like that in this one and then up here we have like spare sleeping bags and sheets and things like that and then at the top i put all the things that i either need to give away or sell and then i'm also currently using this laundry basket for things that they've grown out of and i need to sort and then down here it's just a few little pieces this is a fake plant this is part of their um toy set that i got from an etsy seller called heirloom toys they're really beautiful montessori toys um and they're just a little bit too old a little bit too young for this one at the moment so it's up here this little basket is one of our old changing baskets from amazon and then down here um i think she's called lana and libby she makes really beautiful little crochet things and i got these three peas in the pod from her i'll link her down below and her instagram's really cute as well if you're into crocheted vegetables and things like that she does loads of those and then this is um one of the first flowers no it's the first flower that my husband bought me um but i liked the copper in the frame there and then these hangers as well i thought i'd give a mention too i wanted really neutral hangers for the boys clothes because i don't want anything to kind of stand out in the room and i found these on amazon they're actually just cardboard hangers and they're really beautiful and thick i was a bit dubious about whether they would work um but they do and they're really thick and the right size for kind of toddlers baby toddler clothes so yeah and they look really nice kind of hanged up there hung up there even they look really nice hung up there and um you can get loads on a rail as well because they're nice and thin so that they're not too chunky you know like a wooden hanger you can't get many on a rail so i liked those and then just the final little bit over here this was another print from type by alice that she did for us um and she did the boys names which i really love and the little poster hanger is from amazon and then this if you are a longtime follower you'll recognize from our old playroom this is by fluffy peaks design um she made me this um a long time ago when oscar was very small but it just works so well in this room it's got like a copper hanger and these macrame feathers um i kind of wish this one was navy blue but it's not but never mind i love it all the same uh so yeah so that is the boys new room oh i will give a mention to the lamp shade which is next and is a rattan lampshade i really wanted a rattan one took me ages to find one that i liked and this one i don't know if you'll be able to see if i put the light on but it had an unexpected um discovery when i turned the light on oh it is gonna show it has this like lovely sunshine pattern on the roof so that was unintentional but perfect for the theme of the room so that's the end of the
