In this video I’m on a road trip headed to North Carolina for FlipCon, and I decided to make the drive way more profitable by doing some freestyle sourcing along the way. I hit a bunch of stops—Family Dollar, Walmart, and even a couple pawn shops—and I’ll be honest: the first few were straight up goose eggs. But that’s part of reselling. Some days you’re hearing the Rocky music, and other days it’s a grind—you just keep moving. The big win came at a Family Dollar in Chattanooga where I dug through the $2 bin (and yes, I literally pulled out a bunch of movies just to get to the games). That persistence paid off in a huge way: I found two copies of “Best PlayStation Network Volume 1,” and even used, it was selling for around $230. After fees, that’s almost $200 profit on one game—so nearly $400 profit just from those two. I also show why you need to pay attention to condition (these are repackaged/used), why scanning matters (and how bad signal can mess with you), and why checking both the front bins and the electronics section can uncover hidden inventory. I wrap it up with a pawn shop stop where the “$5 a piece” cases and $3 loose discs turned into a nice little stack of flips.
