What’s going on everybody—Justin, otherwise known as The Flipping Accountant. In this video I did a late-night Walmart speed run (about an hour before close) looking for anything on clearance that I can flip on Amazon, eBay, or Facebook Marketplace. I walked a bunch of toy aisles that were absolutely loaded, and the big takeaway is: don’t trust the shelf tags. I kept finding aisles with no clearance signage at all, and a lot of the best deals were unmarked. I used the Walmart app and, more importantly lately, Scan & Go because it was giving me more accurate prices than what was printed on the stickers. Most of the general toy clearance was decent for gifts, but not always the margins I want for reselling—especially heavier Nerf items where Amazon fees can eat you alive. The real win was LEGO. I found Star Wars AT-AT sets ringing up $11 (normally $20) and stacked 11 of them for $99 in savings. Then I hit the unmarked LEGO jackpot: sets at 50% off, a big Friends hotel set for $55 that comps around $110, and more hidden markdowns just by scanning. My strategy is simple: prioritize higher discounts and smaller sets because they’re easier to store and ship, and if I’m holding anything, LEGO is usually the play—especially heading into Q4.
