In this video I’m at SEGE 2022 (South East Game Exchange) for the first time, and I’m hunting for video games and sealed accessories I can resell on Amazon, eBay, or Facebook Marketplace. I’ve got Amy and Corbin from Cheap Finds Gold Mines with me, plus I run into other creators while we’re all scouting booths before the show really gets crazy. Conventions are fun because you’ll see stuff you’ve literally never seen in person, and if you move fast you can still find deals—even with other resellers scanning right beside you. I walk through what I paid and what I expect to sell items for, including sealed Skylanders Imaginators (easy double-up for me), a weird sealed “wild card” game that had a used FBA listing at $199, sealed Wii accessories I grabbed for $15 each, and a big stack of GameCube games. The surprise of the day was how profitable GameCube turned out—Pokemon Colosseum, Zelda, and especially Chibi-Robo (I got it around $200 and saw $400 comps). By the end, I’m about $868 in and I’m expecting to roughly double my money overall, with some items being smaller margins and others carrying the profit.
