About This Video

In this vlog, I’m taking you along while I prepare to be a bridesmaid for my friend’s Nigerian wedding—because the glam and the real moments are all part of the experience. I started from the beginning: getting the asoebi material (and yes, the color was so nice and unique), then moving into my quick glam prep like nails and hair maintenance. I even tried something new for this wedding—short press-on nails. If you know me, you know I’m a long-nails babe, but I needed something comfy, easy, and stress-free for the day. For hair, I showed how I refreshed my wig and made it more of a straight look, using my moisturizer and a hot comb to get that closure laid and “slippery at the front.” After I collected my finished asoebi from my tailor (she really ate, especially for my first time using her), it was time for the bridal shower vibes—polka dot dress, cute decor, games, and the girls just vibing. Then wedding day came and I got my makeup done because I’m not about to show up with a bare face—error. I headed straight to the reception for dancing, outfit changes, games, and all the joy that comes with a proper Naija wedding.
