About This Video

Look at how sleek this bone straight wig turns out—let me show you exactly how I straightened it. In this video, I’m walking you through my beginner-friendly bone straight wig maintenance routine so your wig stays silky, silky and perfect straight instead of turning dull or frizzy. I style everything on a dummy head because it makes sectioning and working at home so much easier, and I show you the exact order I follow so you can get that salon-fresh finish without stressing. I start by packing the hair up for easy sectioning, then I go in section by section with heat protectant (yes, even on human hair wigs—this is super important). I comb through to detangle, then I flat iron slowly while chasing it with a comb for that “flicky bone straight” look. I keep my flat iron on medium heat because highest heat will damage the hair and reduce the lifespan. Once the hair is sleek, I add a lightweight serum for shine and to prevent freezing/frizz, then I finish the closure with hair wax and a hot comb (I use high heat here) to flatten every strand ASAP. The final look is super silky, smooth, and bone straight.
