In this video, I’m showing you how I use Eco Styler Gel on my 4C natural hair to get that defined, sleek look that honestly gives “sporty wig” vibes. My hair is already washed, so I start by combing it properly first, then I apply the Eco Styling Gel mainly on the edge part of my hair—not all over. After that, I go back in with my comb to smooth and shape everything the way I want it, and you can use any comb you like for this method. Next, I use a shoelace to tie the hair down tight so it can really set. Once it’s tied, I use my comb (or even my hands) to bring the edges out, then I secure it again with a hair tie so it sticks very well. While I’m waiting a few minutes for everything to lay, I go ahead and arrange my edges using a pony brush, and I’m also using the Eco Styling Gel as my edge control. After it sets, I remove the tie/scarf and show you the final look—sleek, neat edges and a clean finish that’s super easy to recreate.
