How we doing? In this video I’m finally doing an actual review on the Hohem iSteady M7 phone gimbal—because I’ve had it for about a year and I’ve been using it constantly for my gear reviews, client work, and just general creator stuff. This isn’t an unboxing. I’m walking you through real-world use: the case, the locks you have to unlock before powering on, how I balance my phone, and why I like this one a lot more than my old DJI Osmo (mainly because the M7 will do a full 360° pan without that annoying “stopper” limitation). I break down the features that actually matter when you’re filming with a phone: the detachable touchscreen remote, the AI tracking camera that sends a live feed to the screen so you can see yourself, the built-in RGB/CCT light (and the fact you can flip it around), and the extra USB-C port that can keep your phone powered while you’re recording. I also show how I turn it into a full vlogging rig by mounting a mic and using a selfie monitor so I can use the better rear cameras and still frame myself. Bottom line: if you want smooth footage, tons of control, and a creator-friendly setup without dragging a full camera rig around, I definitely recommend the M7.
