And we’re back for the FIFINE Tank family reunion. In this video I pulled the Focusrite Vocaster Two back down off the shelf and paired it up with the FIFINE Tank 1, Tank 2, Tank 3, and Tank 6—running each mic through Vocaster Hub with no enhancements first (plain Jane, raw), and then cycling through the built-in presets: Radio, Clean, Warm, and Bright. I also kept my mic position consistent—about 3–4 inches away and aimed at the corner of my mouth—because that 45° angle helps keep plosives from blasting straight into the capsule. You’ll hear how each Tank mic reacts to the Vocaster’s EQ/compression choices, and I call out what I’m hearing along the way. For me, the Tank 1 came across as the better-sounding option in this lineup (especially compared to the Tank 2, which felt different in tone). The Tank 6 stood out as heavier and quieter than the Tank 3, so you’ll want a solid boom arm for it. And I also talk about one of my favorite Vocaster Two features: Auto Gain—because it’s a super helpful starting point when you’re trying to get levels right without overthinking it.
