Today I’m testing the brand new NARS Natural Matte Longwear Pore Blurring Foundation on my textured, mature skin—and we’re doing it the way I know y’all need: real swatches, real application, and a real wear test. I picked up shade Seville (an exclusive shade you can get on nars.com and in the NARS boutiques), and I also talk about how Seville and Caracas can both work around my complexion. I apply with my BK Beauty 101 brush over my go-to prep combo (Ilia The Base Face Milk + Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Universal Blurring Balm) because prep matters if you want matte to look smooth and not dry. I show you how it builds, how it covers hyperpigmentation without me color correcting, and what it looks like on pores and texture. The texture surprised me—it’s more serum-like and lightweight than I expected for a matte foundation, but it still gave me that medium-to-buildable full coverage. After a little over 4 hours, I had radiance breaking through in my T-zone (where I normally get oily), and honestly… it looked even better than when I first applied it.
