In this speed review, I’m sharing my final thoughts on a handful of new and viral makeup products—but the star of the show is the newly reformulated Armani Luminous Silk Natural Glow Foundation. The reformulation had everybody in an uproar, and I get it. The original formula had an ingredient that’s now banned in Europe, so it needed to be updated—and I’m expecting we’ll keep seeing that happen with other foundations too. I tested the Armani Luminous Silk in the expanded shade range (I’m wearing shade 8.6), and y’all…this is what I’m dubbing my “supermodel foundation.” On my textured, mature skin, it gives that perfected, smoothed-out look without trying to be something it’s not. I can wear it as a light “your skin but better” base, or build it to a solid medium coverage like I have on today—but it’s not the one if you’re trying to fully cover heavy pigmentation. And honestly? I usually side-eye super hyped products, because I don’t like moving how everybody else moves—but this one stands up to the hype. I’m pleasantly impressed.
