For me, the thing about luxury makeup is the packaging—it gets me every time. In this video, I’m putting on a full face using some of the most expensive products in my collection and giving you my honest thoughts as I apply everything. I’m not here to tell you what’s “worth it,” because worth is defined by the user, but I will tell you what I genuinely like (and what I don’t), especially as a woman of color over 30 working with textured, mature skin. I start with the Westman Atelier Face Trace contour stick because the formula is stunning and blends so beautifully into the skin for a natural finish. I go in with one of my favorite concealers, the Dior Forever Skin Correct, then test the Armani Luminous Silk to see if I can build it up to a true medium coverage “supermodel” finish. From there, it’s all about my favorite part—powder. I use the Givenchy Prisme Libre pressed powder (I’m literally hitting pan) and set the under eyes with the YSL All Hours Hyper Blur loose powder for that smooth, blurred look without feeling overly dry. For eyes, I’m using Pat McGrath Mothership V (because her formula is my favorite on the market), then bronzing and blushing with YSL, adding a touch of Dior glow, and finishing with a luxe mascara moment. I wrap it up with a Pat McGrath liner and a glossy Dior lip, and the final result is effortless, smooth, and blurred—exactly how I like my luxury glam to look.
