If you lot don’t already know, I love the house of Ex Nihilo, and Blue Talisman EDP is literally the one that kicked off my whole journey with the brand. In this video I finally managed (third time lucky) to get my Blue Talisman personalised, after a proper long saga of thinking it was only in Paris, jumping on a train, getting sent between stores, and basically wasting a trip because they didn’t have the bottles. Turns out Harrods is the move, and on the 6th floor they’ve got all three lab-tested options ready to smell: extra amber, extra musk, or extra orange blossom. I went for the amber accord because the EDP already has orange blossom, and I didn’t need it any muskier either. On skin, the amber version keeps that fresh, spicy DNA but makes it warmer, a touch sweeter, and honestly it even reads a little bit “boozy” in a syrupy way (not full-on Angel’s Share vibes). Performance-wise, it’s worked in the lab so it’s not a random mix job, but I did find the EDP projects louder; the amber one sits a bit closer, and the Extrait sits even quieter. Big takeaway: if you’re thinking of buying Blue Talisman Extrait, I’d tell you to try the personalised one first—price-wise it made more sense than I expected, and smell-wise I actually prefer the amber custom to the Extrait.
