About This Video

In this one I’m out checking out Rabanne’s new Private Line with my boy Jay, and we’re basically putting the brand past the usual “1 Million” conversation. Jay’s saying Rabanne is top three designer houses in his opinion, and honestly… after smelling through these, I get it. We go bottle by bottle, quick first impressions, and I’m calling out what each one reminds me of—because that’s how I know if something’s actually worth wearing in the real world. I start with After Club since I like amber, and straight away I’m getting that sweet vanilla vibe—almost like Grand Soir-ish, even a bit of Spiriteuse Double Vanille energy. Burning Leather is where it gets serious for me: smoky, leathery, with this different vanilla that leans tobacco/cherry tobacco, and apparently there’s even a maple syrup note in there… slapper. Oud Monté surprised me too—dark juice, sweet oud, but not barnyardy or skanky, so it’s a proper wearable entry-level oud. Some were more “decent/elegant” than “sexy” (like Nightclub), and Midnight 6 was my least favourite because it went heavy on the white florals. We finish strong with Armara—Guerlain-level vanilla to my nose—and I actually end up buying it (plus they threw in a wash bag and samples).
