I walk through Final’s A-series history (A8000 included) and why the A10000 is basically Final saying, “Beryllium was fun… let’s try diamond,” chasing ultra-low distortion and insane detail retrieval. The unboxing is peak “quiet Japanese luxury”: a handcrafted paulownia-style wooden box with tolerances so tight I genuinely had to fiddle to open it, a protective patterned pillow, and then the star of the show in that wild gold finish. Accessories include Final Type E tips, Fusion Gear tips, a leather case with an origami-style wrap, and the totally unnecessary-but-awesome suzugami plate you can fold like origami as a display stand. Sound-wise, this is a clean, technical, slightly dry, slightly V-shaped tuning with upper-mids emphasis—detail lovers’ dream, not a warm “romance” set. Bass is fast and textured (8/10), mids are precise and layered (8.5/10), treble is smooth and endlessly extended (8.5/10), stage is wide/tall with razor imaging (8/10), and resolution is the headline at 9/10. I also compare it to the Dita Audio Ventura: Ventura is fuller and more physical; A10000 is leaner, more clinical, and simply cleaner for nuance hunting.
