Hello hello — in this video I’m basically doing a little “POV FaceTime” catch-up because I’ve been so behind on editing (microphone drama, tin-can audio… the whole thing). I unbox my April Book of the Month pick and, yes, I absolutely caved because it’s gorgeous. I’m talking pretty endpapers, dual sprayed edges, and that fun BOTM stamp under the dust jacket. The pick is Bloodbound by Ellis Hunter, and I’m genuinely the most excited about this one out of my current fantasy pile because it feels like it might pull me back into fantasy after being weirdly “fantasied out.” Then I get into my Project Hail Mary thoughts — I finished it on my Kindle in a week (on my Kindle Colorsoft) and paired it with the audiobook during the Audible sale… after accidentally buying it in Spanish somehow. I loved how immersive it was, I cried, and then I cried again seeing the movie on the big screen right after reading. I also share what I’m reading next (Yesteryear — which is already feeling absolutely insane and twisty) plus a couple upcoming releases I’m trying to squeeze in, and I ask if you’d want to see an orange iPhone unboxing because apparently my audio setup is cursed right now.
