Hello, hello—welcome back to a cozy little TBR Tuesday with my Kindle Colorsoft, some books on the side, and (ideally) a yummy drink in your hand. In this video I’m sharing new releases dropping today (April 28th), plus a couple I missed from the past few Tuesdays because work has been wild and I can’t always film these as consistently as I want. I also sprinkle in my real-time reading plans—aka me immediately wanting to run to Libby to place holds the second I finish filming. I talk through a few titles I’m especially curious about, like The Radiant Dark (a super cool extraterrestrial-family-through-decades concept) and The Island Club (very “smart juicy escape,” kind of giving White Lotus vibes). Then we get into some physical pretties too—Bloodbound was my April Book of the Month and it is stunning, with dragon endpapers and sprayed edges. I also shout out two recent releases I’ve been seeing everywhere: The Verdant Cage (for Hunger Games/Maze Runner fans) and The Photonic Effect (a sci-fi “finally home but everything changed” setup). And of course, we end with Book of the Month May picks—plus the one that’s fully distracting me right now: Seek the Traitor’s Son by Veronica Roth. I’m reading it as an ARC and it’s been so good it’s giving me mid-2000s/early 2010s vibes in the best way.
