In this vloggy vlog, I’m doing a mini prep for my birthday trip and, honestly, it starts with a little bit of chaos. My memory card nearly gave me a heart attack (it literally said it couldn’t be read), so I’m thugging it out with a spare 16GB for now and adding a new one to my birthday list. Then it’s straight into travel prep mode: bare face, no skincare (lash rules), and I’m off to try a new lash tech for a hybrid set because my usual girl is fully booked till May. I take you with me to get my lashes done, then I squeeze in nails at a random spot nearby—and yes, he ate… but he was not gentle. The lashes are giving birthday lashes (a bit dramatic on day one), but I was really impressed because she spent ages separating each strand, so I’ll definitely go back. Then it’s early, early the next morning: 5 a.m. road trip vibes, heatless sock curls from TikTok, and we’re off to Cornwall. We stop at a service station for a toffee latte (two sugars and it still wasn’t sweet, ciao), and finally arrive at the cutest lodge/cottage accommodation that’s more “home vibes” than hotel—perfect for a cozy birthday getaway.
