Join me as I unpack what I brought with me on my recent overseas trip—not just clothes, but my analog essentials. From the journals that grounded me to the pen I always reach for, to the water bottle that never left my side, this is a peek into how I travel slow and intentionally. I’ll walk you through what was in my backpack, how I used my analog tools while traveling, and what made the cut in my limited carry-on space. Whether you're planning your own mindful getaway or simply curious about how to travel with purpose and paper, I hope this inspires you to bring a little analog magic along for the ride. About This Video

Hello friends — in this video I’m unpacking what I packed for analog travel on my first overseas trip in three years (for my sister’s wedding, which meant lots of stimulation and big, busy days). I walk through my carry-on setup inside my Fjällräven 20L and show the exact stationery + “grounding” tools I leaned on to keep my nervous system calm: my Traveler’s Notebook with an accordion-fold travel insert, a rugged Lochby mini field journal for everyday notes, food tracking, and fitness, plus a bigger A5 setup for wedding logistics and longer journaling. I also share the practical stuff that matters when you’re traveling light: why I went smaller on the backpack this time (no camera gear), how I keep fountain pens upright on the plane to avoid an inky explosion, and why my Yeti with the chug cap is basically non-negotiable in a hot climate. You’ll see my watercolor kit (well-loved), my Popov leather pencil case (one of my best recent stationery pickups), and the little “just in case” items that live in my Altoids tin. I also talk honestly about what didn’t work — my Lochby watch wallet warped, the zipper failed, and it even led to a watch getting scuffed — and what I’d tweak on the next trip.
