About This Video

I’m not in my usual backdrop for this one—I’m down in Mexico, and it felt like the perfect time to talk about a travel carry that has to serve two distinct worlds. As a professional and a father/family man, I need the digital tools that keep work moving at a high level, but I also need analog tools that slow me down and keep me grounded in the moment. In this video I walk through the system I curated for this trip, and how I try to find harmony between the digital and the tactile. My travel setup starts with two bags: the WANDRD PRVKE 31L Gen 2 as my “carry-all” workhorse for transit (laptops, camera gear, cords, stationery), and the Fjällräven Räven 20 as my daily carry once I’m settled. My archiving is split between two Traveler’s Notebooks—one for logistics (planner + watercolor refill) and one for the personal layer (daily thoughts + commonplace). I also share the pouches and tools that make the whole thing function: Lochby Quattro pouches for pens and sketching tools, a Sidekick wallet for quick A7 capture, and an A5 zip portfolio for deeper sessions. And because travel has a lot of dead time, I talk about using Brilliant on the plane instead of scrolling—staying curious while the world changes around me.
