Every home has its anchors — for me, it’s the shelves. They might look like background furniture, but they hold the choices that shape how we live, what we reach for, and the pace we move at. These are my analog treasures: the five things that remind me to slow down, stay curious, and live with intention. In this video, I walk through the five analog treasures that continue to shape how I live — from the books that stretch my thinking to the records that fill our home with sound. These aren’t just objects; they’re anchors for a slower, more intentional life. — Thanks for watching and if you wish to support me click here: ➡️➡️➡️https://buymeacoffee.com/stationeryat4 — #analoglifestyle #slowliving #stationerat4 #analogtools #desksetup #vinylcollection #intentionalliving #homedesign #readingcommunity #journaling #familytime #family 📌 Affiliate Links: 🔥➡️🔥Lochby Discount (10% off everything) lochby.com/STATIONERYAT4 🔥🔥10% Discount Code for Lochby products: STATIONERYAT4 🔥🔥 https://www.lochby.com/collections/accessories/products/sidekick https://www.lochby.com/collections/journals/products/mini-field-journal 🔥➡️🔥Local Laundry Tee Shirt (15% off everything) or use code STAT4 🔥🔥 https://locallaundry.ca/?ref=gvjnxefp https://locallaundry.ca/collections/all/products/canada-heritage-tee 📖 5 Analog Treasures 00:00 Intro 00:30 Books — Learning as Entertainment 01:30 Journals — Capturing Thoughts by Hand 02:20 Records — Listening with Intention 03:15 Family Entertainment — Shared Analog Time 04:30 Curation — Designing a Life That Reflects What Matters 06:00 Closing Reflections

About This Video

Every home has its anchors — and for me, that’s the shelves. In this video I walk through five analog treasures that quietly shape how I live: books, journals, records, shared family entertainment, and the bigger idea of curation. These shelves might look like background furniture, but what I keep visible becomes what I reach for when I’m bored, when I want to be entertained, and when I want to feel nourished rather than stimulated. I’m intentionally building a slower, tangible approach to free time, and my shelves are part of that system. In my study, I treat non-fiction (self-development and even textbooks) as entertainment — reading as play that keeps my curiosity alive. Right beside that are my journals and notebooks in every stage, reminding me that thoughts deserve a place and that writing doesn’t need an audience, just intentional time. I even dock my phone away from reach to make the slower choice easier. Then there’s vinyl: clunky, inconvenient, and exactly the point — the format forces me to slow down step-by-step. In the living room, the shelves become an invitation for the whole family: board games, D&D essentials, kids’ learning materials, shared books, and records we choose together. Limits are a feature here. One record, one sound, one shared moment — and that’s how these shelves become anchors for an analog lifestyle.
