About This Video

Hey y’all, it’s your girl Stasia, and in this video I’m showing you how I make a super affordable quick weave wig using beauty supply store hair. I’m working with Empire Gold in an ombré 1B/burgundy (two packs of 14 inch at first), and I’m keeping it simple with the basics: a shower/plastic cap, a stocking cap, 30 second glue, and spritz. I like to spray a little spritz and hit it with the blow dryer as I go so the glue isn’t still wet underneath when I’m ready to throw the unit on. I lay my tracks in a circular motion—starting in the back like you would at the nape, then bringing it around once I get to where the ear area would be. I also keep my tracks fairly close, so heads up: with 14 inch hair, two packs wasn’t enough for me and I had to run back to the beauty supply for an extra pack. I also show y’all my old school DIY “closure piece” method—cut a strip, glue one side, roll it, spritz + blow dry for firmness, spread it from the center, then flat iron it as flat as possible and pop it right into the hole at the top. I finish by cutting it into a bob (not even being professional, just grabbing and going), and I’m honest about what I’d tweak—like thinning the ends so it doesn’t look wiggy. Stay safe and stay blessed, baby.
