Steak Sandwich

This is the steak sandwich to rival all others ;). I tried to duplicate the steak sandwich I remember from my college days. It was a cheap cut of meat with butter toasted bread. I really enjoyed this sandwich, now it is not going to win any awards for being healthy because it is high protein, high fat, and high carb but sometimes that combination makes for the best tasting meal. I first combined the butter with the ingredients listed below. Then I toasted the bread in the oven while finishing it on the broil setting. The onions were caramelized on the stove top, and the steak once properly seasoned with pepper and salt was grilled to perfection, I put the onions on top of the steak with Havarti cheese. The cheese melted onto the caramelized onions and steak. The steak tasted amazing, all of the flavors came together very nicely.
