Today we did some much needed maintenance on the Big Green Egg. I have owned the XL Big Green Egg for about 7 years and I am finally having to replace the gasket on the lid and bottom. The tips and tricks I would impart on anyone who is attempting this is to prep the area and remove the shelves prior to starting. This will make the metal bands lighter and easier to maneuver. Also, make sure you clean the old gasket off of the lid.
