You no longer have to feel intimidated when cooking up everyone's favorite BBQ meat, Spare Ribs or St. Louis Style Pork Ribs. There are several basic steps that anyone can do which yields some great results. First trim the ribs to your desired shape and size. I choose to trim these ribs because the edges on the first rack were not uniform in size and were already cut into. You can remove the membrane or leave it on. I like both! I have a separate video here: https://youtu.be/MsoacUJvjsw which details how to remove the membrane. Once the membrane is removed you can now apply the BBQ seasoning, or called dry rub. I used the Hardcore carnivore's Red BBQ seasoning and Uncle Steve's Shake BBQ rub. Let the rub sit on the ribs while your BBQ is getting up to temperature. I used post oak wood chunks and lump charcoal for this cook. Post oak gives a great well-balanced smoke flavor while also not being too overpowering. My target BBQ temperature was 275 and this is accomplished by having enough burning charcoal and also by setting my dampeners to as far down as possible while still providing airflow into the firebox. -------------------------------------------- You can directly support our channel!
