In this van tour, I’m finally showing you the 2023 Toyota Sienna build I’ve been hunting for on YouTube for months—and honestly, I couldn’t find anything quite like it. Since the Ford Transit Connect got discontinued (huge bummer), we’ve been branching out, and this is our first minivan conversion. The Sienna’s hybrid system is a game changer: you can leave the van on and it’ll cycle the engine on and off to keep the battery topped off, which means you can run heat or AC through the factory vents and sleep comfortably. Layout-wise, we gained about an extra foot compared to our Connect builds, so we went with front cabinetry and a side-to-side bed for a much bigger sleep setup. I walk through the sage green aesthetic, the curved cabinet design (challenging but worth it), the hidden 12V fridge, deep gold sink with pull-out faucet, and a simple, super user-friendly water system with removable fresh and gray tanks. Then I get into the fun stuff: dimmable LED lighting, exterior lights, a lagoon table, a 4-camera security monitor, and the fully automated bed system that flips from sofa mode to bed mode in under 30 seconds using linear actuators. We also kept access to the Sienna’s sub-trunk storage, so you get a ton of usable space without giving up comfort.
