VAN TOUR | Ford Transit Connect Passenger Campervan Hello hello! Welcome to yet again another van tour! It has been a long time coming. This conversion is a special one because we have converted a Ford Transit Connect PASSENGER van but not only that, it is a completely new layout and a half build. This is a perfect layout if you are using your van as a daily driver and are not camping all the time. What do you think, would you convert a passenger van? About This Video

Welcome back with Small Vans Big World—this video is a full micro van tour of something we’ve been wanting to do for a while: a Ford Transit Connect Passenger van that’s basically a “half camper.” The whole point of this layout is you still get to use the second row seats, so the van can stay a legit daily driver while still transforming into a super functional camper setup when you want it. Since it’s a passenger model, you get factory windows all the way around (including operable windows on the sliding doors), and we kept the exterior mostly stock aside from a roof rack, a Maxxair fan, and window deflectors so you can crack the windows for fresh air. Inside, I show you how fast the bed converts by dropping the second row seats and pulling out the platform with the cushion system. From the rear, we built two heavy-duty drawers on 44-inch slides: one for flexible storage with removable dividers, and the other as a full kitchen drawer with a pop-down table, sink, water pump switch, a 5-gallon fresh tank, and our go-to fridge because it’s efficient and can run fridge/freezer configurations. For power, we used a removable 1500W Petron power station to run the lights, fridge, and diesel heater, with charging from the vehicle, wall power, or solar. We also insulated behind the factory ceiling/panels, added puck lights, and made magnetic window covers for every window to help with heat loss.
