About This Video

In this van tour, I’m walking you through a Ford Transit Connect Passenger van that we converted into a luxurious micro camper with everything you need for life on the road. Right when you step in, you’ll see how we packed in real function without making the space feel cramped—like the fridge with a divider so it can run as a fridge, freezer, or both, plus a large storage unit and an overhead shelf that’s perfect for window covers and lightweight items. One of my favorite new upgrades in this build is the cabin divider. It separates the cab from the living space for privacy, but it also doubles as a projector screen for movie nights. I also point out the diesel heater control, the moon roof that keeps the van feeling bright and open, and the Maxxair fan with a remote so you can dial in airflow from anywhere inside. Along the cabinet, I grouped the key controls—dimmable lighting, USB, 12V, a standard outlet, battery heat pad, inverter, and a meter so you can monitor your solar production and usage. From there I cover the kitchen and lounge setup: an iPad mount for remote work, a pullout table for dining, a mini farmhouse-style sink with a Swoosh faucet, and easy-access switches for interior/exterior lights and dumping the gray tank. The bed converts fast from couch mode, and in the rear we added a pullout coffee table for views. Outside, I show the exterior lights, shore power hookup, diesel fill port, gauges for water and diesel, a 100W solar panel, and even a light bar for nighttime visibility—take the scenic route, but do it comfortably.
