About This Video

In this video I show you my go-to, super easy healthy dog treat: banana peanut butter cookies. First things first—preheat your oven to 350°F, then grab an overripe banana (the more ripe, the better for sweetness), peanut butter (NO xylitol), an egg, and flour. I used all-purpose, but if you want my honest recommendation, whole wheat flour or oat flour is a better pick for this kind of treat. I mash the banana into a paste, mix in the wet stuff (for every 1 banana + 1 egg, use 1/2 cup peanut butter), then add about 1 1/2 cups flour until it turns into a workable dough. If it’s too wet, add flour; too dry, add a bit more peanut butter or even another egg. Then you can shape them however you want—balls, little patties, cookie-cutter shapes, or even use a dog treat maker mold like I did. Bake around 20 minutes (check at 10 because size matters), let them rest 10 minutes, and then it’s time for the Slush approval test… and yes, I absolutely love them. Bonus: they’re human-grade, so you can snack too (I won’t judge).
