Episode 6 of the HCIM is basically me speedrunning anxiety. I’m finally a Barrows gloves owner beast, and I’m not gonna lie—you instantly feel like a Chad the second those b gloves go on. From there it’s full “medium combat achievements or I’m trolling” mode: I’m farming easy points wherever I can, getting baited by tasks I don’t understand, and doing some absolutely shameless leeching in CoX because I want that diary unlock before I touch Barrows. I’m grabbing free herb lamps, getting scammed by clue scrolls that only want to give me teleports I can’t use, and trying not to throw the entire series over one dumb mistake. The big milestone is getting carried—sorry, “assisted”—through entry mode ToB for combat achievements with Ian and Fbin, which tips me over into Medium CA. That’s the whole reason I’m doing this: Morytania medium means no prayer drain in the Barrows tunnels, which is absolutely massive for an iron. Then we send the first Barrows runs, I’m begging the game for tank legs that aren’t Guthan’s (ugliest set in the universe), and somehow the chest blesses me with a collection log slot… into a double item. I said I never get doubles, and then the game just hands me one. Beautiful.
