In this video I’m unboxing and setting up the Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition as someone who’s normally a MacBook user. I’ll be honest—right away the packaging didn’t feel as luxurious as Apple’s (and it scratched super easily), but the laptop itself surprised me. The 14-inch black (blue-black) color is so minimal and classy, it’s lightweight enough to lift with one hand, and yes… it will show fingerprints. I walk through the startup, the keys/features sheet it comes with, and the fun part: flipping it through notebook, stand, tent, and full tablet mode. Once it’s updated and set up, I test how it feels for everyday use—watching YouTube in stand mode (it’s literally like a mini TV), checking brightness and display quality versus my MacBook Pro, and trying the included pen. The pen being included is a big deal to me, and I also show a really cool feature where you can hover the pen over the screen and select things without touching it. I also compare the keyboard feel, backlit keys, trackpad size, and even the comfort of the edges—because my MacBook honestly cuts into my wrist sometimes, and this one is way smoother. At the end I share my buyer’s guide: if you’re a student deciding between a MacBook and an iPad, this is kind of the “why not both” option—touchscreen + keyboard + pen, plus a hub included, and I got 1TB storage without paying Apple upgrade prices.
