About This Video

In this video I’m reviewing Apple’s cheapest iPhone in 2026: the iPhone 17e, and I’m answering the real question— is it actually worth buying? I’m used to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, so I fully expected the 17e to feel way worse because it’s literally about half the price. But for general daily use, I was honestly surprised. Scrolling (yes, especially Pinterest because that’s basically a quality-of-life test) feels really solid, and on paper the A19 chip is actually pretty similar to the A19 Pro—same CPU and neural engine, with the GPU being the bigger difference. I also talk about the features that make it feel modern, like MagSafe (a must for me because I charge every night and use a ton of MagSafe accessories) and Face ID. But the big trade-offs show up in battery and camera. The 17 Pro Max battery feels in a different league (39 hours vs 26 hours), and the 17e charges slower too, so you’ll need more planning or a power bank. And the camera is the deal breaker for me—one camera vs three, and the Pro Max is just so much better for selfies, video, and detail. Still, if you prefer that older iPhone camera look or you don’t care about photos, the 17e can be such a good $600 deal—especially with 256GB starting storage.
