About This Video

In this video I’m sharing the exact iPhone 17 Pro Max camera settings I use, plus a few simple habits that instantly make iPhone photos look higher quality. I’m genuinely obsessed with this camera, but I still think a lot of iPhone shots come out a little overexposed—so I’ll show you how I lock focus, drag the exposure down, and set Exposure to around -0.3 or -0.7 so my photos look cleaner and less blown out. I also switch from 24MP to 48MP for more detail (RAW is the highest quality, but I don’t use it for everything because it eats storage). And yes, I actually use the zoom—usually 2x—because it helps you frame better instead of leaving a bunch of empty space. Then I take you to my editing setup (and give you a little tour of my new Vernal standing desk setup) and show how I edit my photos. I use the Meu app to boost “flash” a bit and warm up photos so they don’t look gray and boring, and I use TZA for cute, Polaroid-style filters like Lush and Fuji with grain and blur. I also show a super simple, natural edit right in the Photos app (lower exposure, add warmth, a touch of sharpness), plus why I like editing on a bigger screen by screen mirroring to my MacBook. I wrap up with my full camera settings, including 4K 60fps, grid + level, and why I keep HDR video off.
