Welcome to my vinyl setup tour (2025 edition) — aka the highly requested updated walkthrough of everything after I finally cleaned, reorganized, and made my space feel cute and functional again. I start with the “main character” area: my Modway cabinet from Amazon, my Audio-Technica LP60XBT (yes, the beginner turntable I recommend every single time), my white acrylic slipmat for reducing static and making clear/transparent pressings pop, and my Edifier speakers. I also show both my old now playing stand and my newer Petru Designs audio visualizer stand that literally listens to what’s playing and displays it in different modes. Then I take you through the practical stuff that makes the setup actually work: my drawers (sleeves, hype sticker remover, cleaning refills, and yes… a junk drawer), plus how I organize my records. I do alphabetical by artist first name (because Discogs does it and it works in my brain), and then I go oldest-to-newest within each artist. After that, we move to my IKEA Kallax bookshelf for 7-inches, magazines, decor, and a full little CD moment (including my Shrek 2 soundtrack, because obviously). And finally, I show the rest of my vinyl collection on the Kallax and explain the backspacers that keep everything lined up clean and evenly pushed forward.
