Today is huge for annoying people (me included) because Harry Styles is BACK—and I’m doing a full song reaction to “Aperture,” the lead single from his newly announced fourth album, Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally (out March 6, mark your calendars). I’m also popping in with a quick life update because my upload schedule has been a little chaotic, but we are so back in business. Energy drink of the day: the Red Bull Iced Vanilla Berry because apparently everything is returning at once. Before I hit play, I ramble through my early album thoughts: I genuinely love the cover (I don’t get the hate), and yes, it’s giving camera vibes—especially with “Aperture” being literally about light entering a lens. I also fully confessed that I’ve already pre-ordered basically every vinyl variant (except the indie exclusive), so please stay tuned because that unboxing is going to need its own video. Then we get into the song, and… oh my god. It leans electronic, it’s fresh, his voice sounds insane, and I’m obsessed with the direction—different enough to be exciting, but still very Harry-core. I don’t even know what genre it is, and that’s exactly why I love it.
