It’s Olympia week in Las Vegas—three days out from the 60th anniversary of the 2024 Mr Olympia—and I finally got to tick off a gym I’ve wanted to visit for ages: Torture Gym. I’m joined by my good mate Mets (he’s come all the way from Australia), and we run a proper session while I give you a real-world tour of the place. Torture is Olympia-approved, the atmosphere is bang on, and you can feel that energy the second you walk in—music blasting, people training hard, and that proper hardcore vibe that carries you through. The big talking point is the NewTech equipment from South Korea. I’ve used NewTech before, but getting on a full run of it here reminded me why it’s getting so much buzz: smooth movement, loads of adjustability, and most importantly, it hits the muscle without battering your joints. We talk angles, grip options, little design touches (even how you can spot certain machines from behind), and the practical side too—more cables and pulleys can mean more maintenance long-term. Overall, Torture might not be massive, but the layout, lighting, cleanliness, and kit make it a must-visit if you’re in Vegas—especially when you’ve got top names like Milos, Regan Grimes, Nick Walker and more training here.
