On this episode of the Fantom Podcast I’m breaking down the EVLS Prague Pro 2024, and yeah—this show is insanely hyped because Chris Bumstead is stepping into the Open. I talk through the whole “retiring” thing too: in my opinion he retired from Classic at the Olympia, not from bodybuilding. As fans, it’s exciting because it’s something different, and it’s cool seeing him step back toward where he started—people forget he actually turned pro outside of just being “the Classic guy.” I go through the lineup and what actually matters when you’re judging: density, condition, structure, and who looks best on the day—regardless of whether they came from Classic, 212, or Open. My big takeaway is that Martin Fitzwater is the favourite for me. I genuinely think he’s on a roll, and outside of the Olympia I can see him winning most shows he enters. Then we get into the real debate: is Chris a definite winner? Absolutely not—but I do think he’ll be very competitive, and the comparisons will be must-watch. We finish with our top-five predictions, a quick chat about who might skip the show (like Keim after Romania), and why this weekend could go down in history if it’s truly Chris’ last ever competition.
