Gym tours are back, and in this one I’m at Destination Gym in Stoke-on-Trent for a proper leg day with the boys. This is my second time here (last time we trained back), and I wanted to test the leg kit because you can tell the quality of a gym by its leg equipment. We kicked off with the Hammer Strength MTS single-leg curl—genuinely my favourite hamstring machine of all time—then moved onto the Prime seated leg curl (first time using it) and got the hamstrings fully warmed and firing. From there it was quads: Prime leg extension (pin-selected) which felt smooth with great tension, then onto the Cybex lever-style leg press. What I really rate about this place is the space—loads of plates accessible on machines, good layout, and it never feels cramped even with a stacked equipment list. We finished the heavy work on the Arsenal Strength hack squat (I’ve used this in Texas before), where I hit six plates for 12 reps and honestly should’ve pushed for 15. After that, we wrapped with lunges and I took you through the full gym layout—cardio up front, legs on the left, back through the middle, and chest/arms/dumbbells on the right—plus the cafe and the little outdoor area.
